Paced bottle feeding

What is paced bottle feeding?
Paced bottle feeding is a method which is considered to be the most effective way of feeding a bottle, whether it be formula or breastmilk. Babies are not designed to eat like we do, and are biologcally designed to pace themselves. Their stomachs are tiny, and fill up quickly. When they feed too quickly from a bottle, they don’t have time to realise they were full. This leads to a couple of potential issues: firstly – spew! They can end up sicking some back up. Secondly, overeating. Their stomachs can be stretched very easily. This leads to a cycle of ‘my baby is still hungry, I must feed more’.
